On October 20, the Office of the City of Yokohama Representative to Southeast and South Asia held a “Working and Living in Yokohama City, Japan” seminar for students at Thammasat University, Thailand to promote employment at companies based in Yokohama. A total of 22 students participated in the seminar.
The event included an introduction to the attractiveness of Yokohama city by the Southeast and South Asia Representative Office, and an explanation of how working in Japan works for foreigners by Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). Additionally, two Thammasat University graduates talked about their experiences working and living in Yokohama. Lastly, information about JOB FAIR YOKOHAMA 2023, which will be held on November 14th, was provided to all students.
In the post-completion survey, all respondents expressed their belief that the seminar would be useful for their future careers. Several students expressed their thoughts, including “Through the seminar, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of Yokohama, which made me want to visit,” and “The experiences of the alumni painted a vivid picture of what it would be like to live and work in Yokohama.”
