On June 11, the Office of the City of Yokohama Representative to Southeast and South Asia participated in JOB FAIR 2023 held at CJCC (Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center) and held a seminar for students at the Royal University of Phnom Penh, Cambodia to promote employment at companies in Yokohama. The event was attended by an impressive group of around 100 people, including students and alumni, who were participating and listening intently.
In this seminar, we introduced the attractiveness of living and working environment in Yokohama. A partner organization, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), introduced how to get a job at a Japanese company and the types of visas available. In addition, two companies from Yokohama City,Tokon Co., Ltd. and Sunwells Co., Ltd., introduced their businesses, including recruitment information to the students.
The Office of the City of Yokohama Representative to Southeast and South Asia will continue to work to connect overseas students like these with companies and opportunities in Yokohama City.
