The City of Yokohama participated for the fourth consecutive time in the Bangkok Visit Japan travel fair “Visit Japan FIT Fair #17,” organized by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). The event was held over three days from Friday, November 21, to Sunday, November 23, attracting approximately 55,000 visitors.
At the Yokohama booth, visitors were provided with information not only on tourist attractions in Yokohama but also on the upcoming “GREEN×EXPO 2027.” As many visitors expressed strong interest and asked questions, all prepared brochures and novelty items were distributed during the event. Among 762 survey respondents, 60.5% indicated that they were already familiar with Yokohama, while 31.9% answered that they had heard of the city but were not familiar with its tourist attractions. This indicates that many visitors came to the booth to gather further information about Yokohama.
In addition, Yokohama took part in a Japan tourism promotion stage conducted in Thailand this year. Interactive activities, including a quiz competition, helped create a lively atmosphere and engage the audience.
The event included participants from many tourism-related organizations, such as local governments, travel agencies, and airlines, reflecting the strong interest in travel to Japan. The Yokohama City Asia Office will continue to promote Yokohama to attract more visitors.
