The City of Yokohama and RX Japan have announced the launch of a new international exhibition focused on the circular economy, set to debut in 2027. The event aims to bring together companies, governments, and global stakeholders to showcase technologies and solutions that support the transition to a circular society.
The exhibition will be held at PACIFICO Yokohama from August 31 to September 2, 2027, and is expected to host approximately 350 exhibitors and attract around 30,000 visitors. Organized by RX Japan with special cooperation from the City of Yokohama, the event will feature five key exhibition areas: Circular City Expo, Sustainable Materials Expo, Recycling Technology Expo, Circular Energy Expo, and Industrial Water Circulation Expo.
It will take place as part of “Yokohama Circular Week 2027,” which will include the 9th Asia-Pacific Urban Forum (APUF-9) and Asia-Pacific Circular Cities Forum 2027 (APCC-Forum 2027), international conferences focused on circular economy themes. It also coincides with GREEN×EXPO 2027, creating strong synergy as global attention turns to the city.
Yokohama has been actively promoting circular economy initiatives through its “Yokohama Circular Link” program and international leadership in sustainability. By hosting this new exhibition, the city aims to accelerate business creation, facilitate international partnerships, and demonstrate real-world implementation of circular economy practices within an urban setting.
The event is expected to play a key role in fostering innovation and driving economic growth while supporting global sustainability goals, and Yokohama aims to establish it as a leading global platform for circular economy collaboration in the years to come.
