by | Oct 15, 2026

The Yokohama City Europe Office ran a booth at ‘Japan-Day’ and the ‘Newcomers Festival’, both held in Frankfurt, Germany.
Both events provided a valuable opportunity for local residents and a diverse international audience living in the area to come together, and the European Office showcased the diverse attractions of Yokohama to the many participants who attended.

At the booth, the office vigorously promoted the outline and appeal of ‘GREEN×EXPO 2027’, which is to be held in Yokohama in 2027, whilst also providing extensive information on the city’s tourism, culture and business environment. The event attracted a great deal of interest from visitors and proved to be a meaningful opportunity to raise awareness of Yokohama in Europe and expand its fan base for the future.

Furthermore, on Japan Day, a reception was held to mark the 15th anniversary of the partnership between Yokohama City and the City of Frankfurt. The Head of the European Office took the stage to express gratitude for the collaboration to date and to voice his hopes for further cooperation in the future.

The Yokohama City Europe Office will continue to work towards strengthening Yokohama City’s presence in Europe and promoting exchanges through active participation in local events.
