For the first time in the three years,  “Visit Japan FIT Fair #14” sponsored by JNTO was held at Paragon Hall in Bangkok, Thailand from 27^th Friday to 29^th Sunday January 2023, and City of Yokohama exhibited a booth at the fair.

The City of Yokohama booth was crowded with people who were passionate about traveling in Japan, visiting the booth for advice about their travel plans, how to move between sightseeing spots in the city, and on specific plans that combine sightseeing in other cities. The booth was so popular that all of our prepared giveaway items that visitors could receive from participating in surveys and campaigns, such as eco bags and pamphlets, were gone by the end of the fair.

We achieved spreading an awareness of Yokohama city’s attractiveness, as many visitors said that they would include Yokohama in their travel plan.

There was a talk show by Mario Maurer, one of Thailand’s most popular actors and models, while each exhibitor used characters and videos to liven up the fair.  

In addition, at exchange meetings, which were held during the exhibition, we discussed our opinions with several tourism companies and individuals in Thailand. A day later, we visited travel agencies in Thailand, who specialize in incentive tours, to promote the attractiveness of Yokohama as a travel destination.
