From August 2 to 4, 2026, two Yokohama-based companies, Amina Collection Co., Ltd. and RiraRira Hanko LLC, exhibited at NY NOW Summer 2026, an international trade show held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The Office of the City of Yokohama Representative to the Americas provided on-site support for the two companies’ participation.
NY NOW is a B2B trade show held twice a year in New York, focusing on gifts, home products, lifestyle goods, accessories, and related sectors. NY NOW Summer 2026 featured 460 brands and attracted buyers from 49 U.S. states and 40 countries. The event provides exhibitors with opportunities to introduce their products directly to buyers and build connections that may lead to new business.
The participation of the two Yokohama companies was part of an initiative by Kanagawa Prefecture to support companies in the prefecture seeking to develop sales channels for lifestyle products and other goods in the North American market. At the venue, “Making Waves with Kanagawa Makers,” a showcase featuring Kanagawa brands, was set up within the DECO BOKO area, which introduces Japanese design and gift products to the U.S. market. Products from participating Kanagawa companies were presented to buyers.
Amina Collection Co., Ltd., headquartered in Yokohama’s Naka Ward, develops, produces, and sells a variety of original products. At NY NOW, products from its Kaya brand were showcased. DECO BOKO also introduced Kaya as a brand from Yokohama, featuring apparel, fashion accessories, lifestyle goods, and other products that incorporate the culture and seasonal traditions of regions across Japan into contemporary lifestyles.
RiraRira Hanko LLC, based in Yokohama’s Tsuzuki Ward, designs, manufactures, and sells stamps and related goods. The company also exhibited at NY NOW Summer in 2024 and once again participated this year as part of the Kanagawa Prefecture showcase within DECO BOKO. At the venue, the company presented rubber stamps featuring the warmth and character of hand-drawn designs.
Expanding into overseas markets requires not only participation in trade shows, but also a deeper understanding of local markets and business practices, as well as the development of ongoing relationships with buyers and business partners. The Office of the City of Yokohama Representative to the Americas will continue to leverage opportunities such as trade shows and business matching to create connections between Yokohama companies and businesses and buyers in North America, supporting the international business expansion of Yokohama companies.
