The City of Yokohama has had a close connection with Biocom for many years. In 2017, the City of Yokohama concluded a MOU with BIOCOM to promote mutual economic development through life innovation, the same year commemorating the 60th anniversary of Yokohama and San Diego’s sister city relationship. Yokohama-based life science companies participate every year in Biocom’s Global Partnering event, and Biocom is the only U.S. life science trade association with regular member presence and participation in panels and events at the annual BioJapan conference, which is held in the Pacifico Yokohama convention center.
