Four companies from Yokohama, Japan are seeking to explore partnerships with US companies through the BIOCOM 2021 Global Life Science Partnering Conference, an annual partnering event which is being held online for the first time this year.
IN 2017, the City of Yokohama concluded a MOU with BIOCOM to promote mutual economic development through life innovation, the same year commemorating the 60th anniversary of Yokohama-San Diego’s sister city relationship. Based on the MOU, the collaborative relationship with BIOCOM has facilitated Yokohama and Yokohama-based companies in joining this conference. The City of Yokohama and Kihara Memorial Foundation support the four companies by offering technical advice by experts in preparation for the conference. The City of Yokohama US office is sponsoring the conference to raise participants’ awareness of the City of Yokohama and to deliver a presentation for the city’s promotion.
