The ”HO CHI MINH CITY FRIENDSHIP DIALOGUE 2022”was held from Friday 2nd to Monday 5th December 2022. The partner cities of Ho Chi Minh City, 24 cities from 12 countries, including the Director of the Office of the City of Yokohama Representative to Southeast and South Asia participated in this event.
At the Mayors’ Summit with the chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Van Mai, and other city leaders, an effort to be the decarbonization city towards friendship city, ”Zero Carbon Yokohama” was introduced, and at the bilateral meeting between the Vice-Chairman and the Japanese delegation, the Asia Smart City Conference was introduced as examples of initiatives that led to the resolution of common issues between cities.

The city of Yokohama participated in the opening ceremony of civic engagement event, ”HCMC –Our Common Home and Friendship Expo” at the main venue Nguyen Hue Walking Street. We had a panel explanation of Yokohama, and opinion exchanges with various cities that Yokohama has relations with, as well as Vietnamese human resources support organizations.
