Germany’s Largest Tech Startup Event “Digital Demoday 2022”

by | Aug 26, 2022

On August 18, “Digital Demoday 2022,” Germany’s largest tech startup event, was held in Düsseldorf.

The main themes of this year’s startup event were Hightech, Sustainability, and Metaverse (virtual space) in the fields of virtual reality, augmented reality, drones, smart devices, robotics, IoT, and cybersecurity. Together with German companies, there were in total 211 startups and other exhibitors from the Netherlands and other countries and regions offering new technologies.

Although no Japanese start-ups exhibited, a booth was set up by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). In addition, JETRO organized a guided tour for Japanese companies, which included a compact introduction to the booths of some of the key start-up companies.

The guided tour included, for example, “digital twin” tools and industrial digital technologies such as ultrasonic sensors that help reduce manpower, costs, CO2 emissions, etc. in factories and other corporate activities.

On this occasion, our office collaborated with JETRO to promote Yokohama’s business environment and networking.
