My name is Yutaka Mikami. I started my new position as Chief Representative of the Yokohama City Asia Office in April 2025. I have been employed at the Yokohama City Government since 2004 and was in charge of international technical cooperation through city-to-city collaboration and public-private partnerships with Danang, Vietnam and Cebu, Philippines in the International Affairs Bureau. I am looking forward to contributing my work experience to this office in the best possible way.
The Asia Office is an overseas office in charge of collaborations within Southeast Asia and India, and has moved from Mumbai, India to Bangkok, Thailand in August 2022. Based in Thailand, we will strive to be a bridge and link between Southeast and South Asia and Yokohama by providing support to Yokohama companies and attracting companies to Yokohama, as well as encouraging Asian companies to participate in GREENxEXPO 2027, which will be held in Yokohama in 2027.The office is located at the Japan Desk of the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIPROM) in Thailand.
